CH. FLICONA LARA CROFT 'AZ' at 6 years of age
I Purchased my 1st German Shepherds 1994, before that both my parents always had German Shepherds as pets. I have tried other breeds but nothing quite stacks up to the noble German Shepherd. I have had several dogs over the years in our efforts to find one worthy to breed with. I have had all the problems, Missing testicles, good hips with bad elbows, good elbows with bad hips, missing teeth, that was untill Gaye perkins of Flicona Kennels took a chance on me, thanks to my good Friend Liz Kruger at Jezlahn German Shepherds who put in a good word for me.
Gaye sent me a bitch which has a bloodline to die for and the producing qualities that her bloodline promise to offer. Australian Champion Flicona Lara Croft 'AZ' was the 1st GSD I have owned where nothing went wrong. She had a star studded career in the all breeds ring, winning 4 Baby in Shows, 5 Minor in Shows, and several Best in Groups and R/U Best in Groups all before her 1st birthday. She then got sick and after a 6 month recovery, went in her 1st show to gain the 25 points needed after 12 months (she already had 107 points)She took out Group and Junior in show. We then retired her to concentrate on a male I also had at the time and my mothers girl, *Jezlahn Chantzes Are'AZ' CD JD AD ET. 'Lara' was mated in 2003 to the stunning youngster *Kantenna Sarratoga and produced a healthy litter of 10, 7 males and 3 females with out much help from me. This Litter produced CH.Delkahna A Tad Tuff 'AZ' CD or 'Tuffy' to his friends well, check out his profile , he is a stunner.
'Lara's' 2nd litter to *Mischalands Calvin was whelped on 28/7/2004 with 9 puppies, 6 female and 3 male. I kept a female Ch. Delkahna Chilli Pepper 'AZ' and she has gone on to do us proud. 'Pepper' will be mated soon. 'Lara's' 3rd litter to Gagarin von Bad Boll was Whelped 4/3/2007 This litter provided us with the beautiful Delkahna Dragon Fly, 'Muschka', Muschka will enter the show ring in 2008. She shows her Sires type and unstoppable will to run. She is also in training for the Obedience ring and will start trialing in a few months.
'Lara' has just whelped her 4th and Final litter to Cayos vd Noriswand whelped 3/11/07. I have kept a promising bitch Delkahna Femme Fatale and she will also make her debut in 2008.
I hope to continue to breed dogs of a high standard so that we may continue to do the thing that I love most, showing the world what a truely well bred German Shepherd Dog can do.
