David & Merryn purchased their first cocker spaniel in 1979.  This light blue roan dog - Ch Benlora Avalanche - won Baby Puppy In Gundog group at his first show and won Puppy dog class at his first  Sydney Royal show - and we were hooked !

With grooming advice from Eric & Betty Shaw of Benlora kennels, we learnt to hand strip cockers, and with John Emmerson's (Camdach) advice, we learnt to show trim.  Our trimming skills have been improved with advice from Kari Haave.

With support from the Emmerson's of Camdach, we obtained the bitch - Ch Camdach Paper Chase.  'Chase' became the foundation bitch for our kennels - we owe our success and Belcroft cockers to this girl.

Over the years we have met many wonderful people connected with dogs, many of whom have supported us through the hard times and David's 'bad days'.  We thank them for their friendship and support.  Many more good times are to be had.
