ABOUT US
With over 40 year's experience in the breed, WEBFOOT CHESAPEAKES aim to breed dogs with the correct breed type and confirmation, as well as having outstanding retrieving ability. We aim for excellence in the dual-purpose roles of show and field. WEBFOOT CHESAPEAKES will also make devoted family companions, protecting family and property. Previously co-breeder of Tenarda Chesapeakes until 2007, there have been many wins in the SHOW and RETRIEVING arenas. Most notably, the best achievements have been multi BEST IN GROUPS , including BEST IN GROUP at QUEENSLAND ROYAL SHOW (the EKKA), and multiple classes in GROUP and SHOW. Additionally, we have completed an AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL RETRIEVING TRIAL. There have been multiple Show Champions and 2 Retrieving Trial Champions who are also DUAL CHAMPIONS in show and retrieving. Since the establishment of the WEBFOOT prefix in 2007, AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION WEBFOOT BEAR RIVER won the NATIONAL ADVANCE® POINTSCORE Competition and RISING STAR Award 2008. We are consistent winners at retrieving trials and have also won BEST OF BREED at the EKKA in 2009. We are proud to have been ADVANCE® CHESAPEAKE BAY RETRIEVER BREEDER OF THE YEAR for 2009, 2010, and 2012. We were also one of Australia's Top 50 Gundog Breeders in the ADVANCE® Breeder of the Year 2010 competition. We have 11 WEBFOOT AUSTRALIAN SHOW CHAMPIONS to our credit. My co-handlers in the show ring are my daughter Amy Page and my partner Heather Reynolds of Tealpoint German Shorthaired Pointers. I compete in Retrieving Trials and am also a Championship Retrieving Trial Judge.
We currently have brown pups available from our January 2024 litter. They are ready to go to their homes now. PLEASE contact Trevor on 0419 595 588, for information about the breed and purchasing one of these special Chesapeakes.
We are Registered Breeders and breed a limited number of quality pups. They love to retrieve and will make devoted and loyal companions. Our pups are pedigreed, registered, microchipped, DNA/health tested, vet checked, wormed, flea/tick treated, and socialized in a family environment. They are provided with a wide range of early experiences including lead training, swimming, and retrieving training.
